Applications
This product is an important fluorinated benzoic acid intermediate, containing fluoro and trifluoromethyl substituents on benzene ring. It features excellent lipophilicity, chemical stability and biological metabolic stability, easily involved in esterification, amidation, decarboxylation and Suzuki cross-coupling reactions. It is widely used in organic synthesis for building fluorine-containing multi-substituted aromatic and heterocyclic skeletons.
In pharmaceutical industry, it is a key raw material for anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and central nervous system drug intermediates, as well as kinase inhibitors and small molecule targeted drug synthesis. In agrochemical field, it is applied to develop high-efficiency low-toxicity herbicides, fungicides and insecticide intermediates. Also widely used in organic optoelectronic materials, liquid crystal intermediates, fine chemicals and laboratory synthetic methodology research.
Safety Information
Irritating to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Direct skin contact may cause redness, itching and mild inflammation; long-term exposure may induce skin sensitization. Eye contact leads to stinging, conjunctival congestion and tearing, need immediate rinsing with plenty of running water. Inhalation of dust irritates nasal and bronchial mucosa, causing throat dryness, cough and chest discomfort. Accidental ingestion may cause nausea, abdominal pain and mild gastrointestinal irritation.
Harmful to aquatic organisms, do not discharge directly into water and soil. Operate in fume hood, wear nitrile gloves, chemical goggles and dust mask. Keep away from high temperature, open flame and strong oxidants. Store sealed, dry and away from light. Waste and packaging shall be disposed according to hazardous chemical waste regulations.
