Applications
Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) is a primary plasticizer of phthalate series.
Good compatibility with PVC, polystyrene, cellulose resin; features high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, cold resistance and oil resistance.
Widely used in PVC soft products, artificial leather, flooring, wallpaper, cable materials, rubber and plastic blends; also used as adhesive, coating additive and polymer softener.
Safety Information
May cause irritation to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Long-term skin contact may cause dryness and irritation; liquid splashing into eyes causes stinging, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
Suspected reproductive toxicity; harmful if swallowed. Toxic to aquatic organisms, avoid release to environment.
Operate with ventilation, wear chemical gloves and goggles; keep away from high temperature, open flame and strong oxidants. Store sealed, away from heat source. Dispose waste according to hazardous chemical rules.
