Applications
Methyl octanoate is a common saturated fatty acid ester with natural fruit fragrance, widely used as food flavor and daily essence blending raw material for beverage, candy, bakery and cosmetic fragrance formulation. It is an important organic synthesis intermediate for the production of high-grade surfactants, lubricant additives, emulsifiers and plastic auxiliaries. It can also be used as raw material for organic synthesis, pharmaceutical intermediate solvent, chemical reagent and biodiesel blending component, and applied in spice industry, fine chemical synthesis and daily chemical raw material production.
