Applications
2-Amino-5-bromo-3-methylpyridine is a multi-substituted pyridine heterocyclic intermediate with amino, bromo and methyl functional groups on the pyridine ring. It possesses excellent chemical reactivity and can undergo diazotization, nucleophilic substitution, Suzuki coupling and Buchwald amination reactions. It is widely used as core building block for antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and central nervous system pharmaceutical intermediates, as well as kinase inhibitor fragments and targeted small molecule drug synthesis. It is also widely applied in custom fine chemical synthesis, medicinal chemistry structure-activity relationship research and new agrochemical fungicide and herbicide molecular development.
