Applications
2,6-Dibromopyridine is a dibromo-substituted pyridine aromatic intermediate with high reactive activity at both 2 and 6 positions of the pyridine ring. It is widely used for nucleophilic substitution, Suzuki coupling, Sonogashira coupling and amination reactions. It acts as a key molecular building block for the synthesis of antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and central nervous system pharmaceutical intermediates, as well as kinase inhibitors and targeted small molecule drugs. It is also extensively applied in medicinal chemistry structure-activity relationship research, custom organic synthesis, and the development of new pesticide fungicides, herbicides and organic electronic material intermediates.
Safety Information
Irritating to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Inhalation of dust may cause throat discomfort, cough and respiratory mucosal irritation; direct eye contact leads to stinging, redness and conjunctival congestion. Prolonged skin contact may cause dryness and allergic irritation. Avoid dust inhalation, skin adhesion and eye exposure. All operations must be performed in a ventilated fume hood with nitrile gloves, safety goggles and dust mask. Keep away from high temperature, open flame and strong oxidizing substances. Store sealed in dry, dark and well-ventilated area. Waste residues and empty packaging should be disposed strictly in accordance with hazardous chemical regulations to prevent water and soil environmental pollution.
