Applications
2-Amino-5-bromopyrimidine is a high-value disubstituted pyrimidine heterocyclic intermediate containing amino and bromo functional groups on the pyrimidine ring. It features excellent chemical reactivity and can undergo diazotization, nucleophilic substitution, Suzuki coupling, Buchwald amination and condensation derivatization reactions. It is widely used as key building block for antitumor, antiviral, antibacterial and cardiovascular pharmaceutical intermediates, as well as kinase inhibitor fragments and targeted small molecule drug synthesis. It is also extensively applied in medicinal chemistry structure-activity relationship research, custom fine chemical synthesis and new pesticide fungicide and herbicide molecular development.
Safety Information
Irritating to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Inhalation of dust may cause throat itching, dry cough and respiratory mucosal discomfort; direct eye contact will lead to obvious stinging, redness and conjunctival congestion. Prolonged skin contact may cause dryness, allergy and inflammatory irritation. Avoid dust inhalation, skin adhesion and eye exposure. All handling operations must be carried out in a ventilated fume hood with nitrile gloves, safety goggles and dust-proof mask. Keep away from high temperature, open flame and strong oxidizing substances. Store sealed in dry, dark and well-ventilated conditions, isolated from acidic chemicals. Waste residues and empty packaging shall be disposed strictly in accordance with hazardous chemical management norms to prevent contamination of water body and soil environment.
