Applications
2-Amino-5-chloropyrazine is an important disubstituted pyrazine heterocyclic intermediate with amino and chloro groups on the pyrazine ring. It features good chemical activity and can undergo diazotization, nucleophilic substitution, Suzuki coupling, Buchwald amination and condensation derivatization reactions. It is widely used as key building block for antitumor, antiviral, antibacterial and central nervous system pharmaceutical intermediates, kinase inhibitor fragments and targeted small molecule drug synthesis. It is also commonly applied in medicinal chemistry structure-activity relationship research, customized fine chemical synthesis and new pesticide molecular development.
Safety Information
Irritating to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Inhalation of dust may cause throat discomfort, dry cough and respiratory mucosal irritation; direct eye contact leads to stinging, redness and conjunctival congestion. Prolonged skin contact may cause dryness, itching and allergic inflammation. Avoid dust inhalation, skin adhesion and eye exposure. All operations must be carried out in a fume hood with nitrile gloves, safety goggles and dust mask. Keep away from high temperature, open flame and strong oxidants. Store sealed in dry, dark and ventilated environment. Waste residues and packaging materials shall be disposed strictly in accordance with hazardous chemical regulations to prevent water and soil pollution.
