Applications
5-Bromo-2-chloropyrimidine is a dihalogenated substituted pyrimidine heterocyclic intermediate. Both 2-position chlorine and 5-position bromine have high chemical reactivity, capable of nucleophilic substitution, Suzuki coupling, Buchwald amination and multi-step derivatization reactions. It is widely used as core building block for antitumor, antiviral, antibacterial pharmaceutical intermediates, kinase inhibitor fragments and targeted small molecule drug synthesis. Also applied in medicinal chemistry structure-activity relationship research, custom fine chemical synthesis and new pesticide fungicide/herbicide molecular development.
