Applications
2-Amino-5-bromo-4-methylpyridine is a trisubstituted pyridine heterocyclic intermediate bearing amino, bromo and methyl groups. It features high chemical reactivity, readily undergoing nucleophilic substitution, Suzuki coupling, Buchwald amination and structural derivatization. Widely used as core building block for antitumor, anti-inflammatory, central nervous system pharmaceutical intermediates, kinase inhibitor fragments and targeted small molecule drugs; also applied in medicinal chemistry structure-activity relationship research, custom fine chemical synthesis and pesticide intermediate development.
