Applications
CAS 23017-36-9 is a natural bufadienolide derivative, mainly extracted from the skin, venom or other tissues of toads, with unique chemical structure and biological activity, widely used in pharmaceutical research, chemical synthesis and biological detection fields.
- Pharmaceutical Research Field: It has significant biological activities such as cardiotonic, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory and analgesic, and is an important research object in the development of cardiotonic drugs and anti-tumor drugs. It can be used as a raw material for the synthesis of bufadienolide derivatives with improved efficacy and reduced toxicity, providing important support for the research and development of new drugs for cardiovascular diseases and tumors.
- Chemical Synthesis Field: As a key intermediate of bufadienolide compounds, it can undergo hydrolysis, esterification, oxidation, reduction and other chemical reactions, and is used for the synthesis of various bufadienolide derivatives and steroid compounds, which is of great significance for the study of structure-activity relationship of such compounds.
- Biological Detection Field: It can be used as a standard substance and research reagent in the detection of bufadienolide compounds, the study of toad toxin components and the research of biological metabolism, which helps to improve the accuracy and reliability of detection and research.
- Other Fields: It is used in the research of natural product chemistry, used to explore the chemical composition and biological activity of toad-derived natural products, and provides a basis for the development and utilization of natural resources.
Safety Information
- Hazard Category: Irritant and toxic (GHS hazard symbol: GHS07, GHS08; hazard code: R22, R36/37/38)
- Hazards: It is toxic if ingested, and irritating to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Direct skin contact may cause redness, itching, dryness and allergic reactions; eye contact may lead to conjunctival hyperemia, burning sensation and corneal irritation; inhalation of dust may cause respiratory tract irritation, cough, chest tightness and other discomfort symptoms; accidental ingestion may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, arrhythmia and other toxic reactions, and severe cases may endanger life.
- Operation Precautions: All operations shall be carried out in a well-ventilated fume hood and under dark conditions (avoiding light); wear nitrile gloves, acid and alkali resistant protective clothing, safety goggles and dust mask to avoid direct contact and inhalation of dust. It is recommended to operate under the protection of inert gas to prevent degradation caused by contact with air. The operation area shall be equipped with emergency rescue equipment and first aid drugs.
- Storage & Transportation Requirements: It shall be stored in a sealed double aluminum vacuum packaging with desiccant inside, and the outer packaging shall be reinforced with HDPE barrel or cardboard barrel; the storage temperature shall be controlled at 2–8 ℃ (refrigeration), and it shall be protected from light, moisture and high temperature. The transportation shall adopt full cold chain (2–8 ℃), avoid violent vibration, sun exposure and moisture; it shall be transported in accordance with the regulations of hazardous chemicals, and shall not be mixed with food, feed and other items.
- Waste Disposal: Waste residues and contaminated packaging shall be disposed of in strict accordance with the management regulations of hazardous chemicals, and shall not be directly discharged into water bodies, soil or sewers to avoid environmental pollution; the waste shall be collected and treated by professional hazardous waste disposal institutions.
- First Aid Measures: In case of skin contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water for at least 15 minutes; in case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice in time; in case of accidental ingestion, do not induce vomiting, keep the patient in a supine position, and seek medical treatment immediately with the product label; in case of inhalation discomfort, move to a well-ventilated place and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
