Applications
It is a classic fluorinated phenylboronic acid intermediate, widely used in Suzuki coupling reaction for organic synthesis. Mainly applied in pharmaceutical intermediates, agrochemicals, liquid crystal materials and organic electronic material synthesis. Used for constructing trifluoromethyl substituted aromatic compounds, drug molecule structural modification and academic chemical research, also used in custom fine chemical synthesis and API raw material development. The trifluoromethyl group endows the molecule with excellent lipophilicity, metabolic stability and chemical inertness, which can significantly enhance the bioavailability and pharmacological activity of target drug molecules. It is extensively adopted in the R&D of anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and central nervous system regulatory drugs, serving as a core building block for molecular skeleton construction and side-chain modification. In agrochemical industry, it is used to synthesize high-efficiency, low-toxicity herbicides, fungicides and insecticides, improving pesticide systemic absorption and environmental degradation resistance. Additionally, it plays an indispensable role in the preparation of organic photoelectric materials, fluorescent probes and polymer monomer intermediates, and is commonly supplied for laboratory research, pilot scale-up and commercial customized synthesis projects.
Safety
Causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation. May cause respiratory irritation if inhaled. Avoid dust inhalation, skin and eye direct contact. Wear dust mask, chemical resistant gloves and safety goggles during handling. Store tightly sealed in cool, dry, nitrogen-protected environment, keep away from moisture, heat and strong oxidants. In case of contact, rinse eyes/skin with plenty of water immediately. Keep away from food and feed; dispose of waste following local environmental regulations. Fine dust particles generated during weighing and feeding are easy to suspend in the air, which may trigger allergic reactions or discomfort to respiratory tract for sensitive groups. Long-term unprotected skin contact may lead to dryness, redness and mild allergic dermatitis. Improper storage in humid environment will cause hydrolysis and deterioration, affecting product purity and reaction yield. Operators should work in a well-ventilated fume hood, avoid static electricity and mechanical impact to prevent dust explosion risk. Contaminated work clothes should be cleaned separately, residual materials and waste liquid shall be collected as hazardous chemical waste, prohibited from arbitrary discharge into soil, river and municipal sewer to prevent ecological and water pollution.
