Main Uses
Potassium Titanium Oxalate is an important inorganic titanium fine chemical raw material with stable complex structure and good water solubility. It is widely used as a raw material for preparing high-purity titanium dioxide, nano titanium oxide and other titanium-based functional materials in the chemical industry. It serves as a mordant and auxiliary agent in textile printing and dyeing, improving color fastness and fabric finishing effect. In electroplating industry, it is used as additive for surface treatment and metal passivation to enhance corrosion resistance of metal parts. It is also applied in ceramic glazes, optical glass additives and analytical chemical reagents, as well as raw material for synthesizing other titanium oxalate complexes, with broad application value in material synthesis and industrial auxiliary fields.
Safety Information
This compound has weak irritant properties and may cause mild stimulation to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Direct skin contact may lead to slight dryness and allergic discomfort; eye splash can cause redness, stinging and conjunctival irritation. Inhalation of dust may irritate nasal and throat mucosa and cause cough and throat discomfort. Accidental oral intake may induce mild gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea and stomachache. During handling, operators should wear protective gloves, goggles and dust mask, keep working place well ventilated and avoid dust dispersion. Store in sealed, dry, cool and ventilated place, keep away from strong oxidants, strong acids and heat sources. Waste residues and waste liquid shall be treated in accordance with chemical waste management regulations, and random dumping into water and soil is prohibited to prevent environmental pollution.
