Main Uses
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a mild anionic amino acid surfactant with excellent surface activity, low irritation, good foaming and emulsifying properties. It is widely used in personal care and cosmetic industry for shampoo, body wash, facial cleanser, toothpaste and baby care products, featuring mild cleaning, fine foam and soft skin feeling without dryness after washing. In daily chemical industry, it serves as emulsifier, corrosion inhibitor and lubricant for industrial cleaning agents and metal surface treatment. It also acts as additive in textile auxiliaries, leather degreasing agents and biodegradable detergent raw materials. Meanwhile, it is used as pharmaceutical excipient, solubilizer and raw material for preparing other sarcosinate derivatives, with good biodegradability and environmental friendly characteristics.
Safety Information
This product is a mild surfactant with low toxicity and low irritation under normal use. Direct skin contact rarely causes obvious discomfort, but long-term repeated exposure may lead to slight dryness or tightness for sensitive skin. Eye contact may cause stinging, foreign body sensation and mild conjunctival irritation, should be rinsed immediately with plenty of clean water. Inhalation of fine dust may irritate nasal and throat mucosa and cause slight cough and dry throat. Accidental oral intake of large amount may cause mild gastrointestinal nausea and abdominal distension. During handling, wear ordinary protective gloves, dust mask and goggles, keep working place ventilated. Store in sealed, dry, cool and ventilated warehouse, away from moisture, high temperature and strong oxidants. Waste materials should be disposed of in accordance with daily chemical waste regulations, avoid arbitrary discharge to prevent water eutrophication and environmental impact.
