Main Uses
This compound is an important meta-substituted aminobenzoate intermediate containing amino and ethyl ester functional groups. It is widely used in pharmaceutical synthesis, organic cross-coupling reactions, pesticide intermediates and dye material preparation. The amino group can carry out acylation, diazotization and condensation reactions, while the ethyl ester group can be hydrolyzed, amidated and reduced for molecular derivation. It serves as a key building block for the synthesis of anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antitumor and central nervous system drug intermediates. It is also applied in the preparation of heterocyclic compounds, organic synthetic pigments, chiral ligands and chromatographic reference standards, and commonly used in laboratory organic process development and fine chemical production.
Safety Information
This chemical is a typical aromatic amino ester with mild irritating properties. Direct skin contact may cause redness, dryness and allergic itching, especially for sensitive skin groups. Eye contact will cause obvious stinging, tearing and conjunctival irritation, requiring immediate flushing with plenty of clean water. Inhalation of dust or volatile vapor may irritate respiratory mucosa, resulting in throat dryness, cough and slight chest discomfort. Accidental ingestion may induce mild gastrointestinal nausea and abdominal distension. During handling, wear chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles and dust mask, and operate in a well-ventilated fume hood. Store in sealed, dry, cool and dark place, keep away from strong oxidants, strong acids and heat sources. Waste residues and waste liquid shall be disposed of in accordance with hazardous chemical regulations; random discharge into water and soil is prohibited to prevent environmental pollution.
