Main Uses
This compound is a high-value aromatic intermediate with amino, bromo and methyl ester groups substituted at the 3,5-position of the benzene ring. Multiple functional groups enable diversified chemical derivatization: amino group can undergo acylation, diazotization and condensation; bromine atom is available for Suzuki, Heck and other cross-coupling reactions; methyl ester can be hydrolyzed, amidated and reduced. It is widely used as a key building block in the synthesis of anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and central nervous system pharmaceutical intermediates. It is also commonly applied in the preparation of heterocyclic compounds, organic optoelectronic materials, chiral ligands and fine chemical derivatives, as well as for laboratory synthetic route design and process scale-up research.
Safety Information
This substance belongs to aromatic bromoamino ester compound with mild irritant properties. Direct skin contact may cause redness, dryness and itching, especially for people with sensitive skin. Eye contact will lead to stinging, tearing and conjunctival irritation, which needs immediate rinsing with plenty of clean water. Inhalation of fine crystalline powder may irritate respiratory mucosa, causing throat dryness and cough discomfort. Accidental ingestion may induce mild gastrointestinal nausea and abdominal distension. During handling, wear chemical-resistant gloves, protective goggles and dust mask, and operate in a well-ventilated fume hood. Store in tightly sealed, dry, cool and dark place, keep away from strong oxidants, strong acids and heat sources. Waste residues and contaminated packaging must be disposed of in accordance with hazardous chemical regulations, and arbitrary discharge into water and soil is prohibited.
