Main Uses
Dibutyl sebacate is a high-performance cold-resistant plasticizer with excellent low-temperature flexibility, good compatibility and high lubricity. Widely used in PVC, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose and synthetic rubber industries to improve low-temperature toughness and flexibility of products. It is also used as a base oil for synthetic lubricants, high-temperature lubricating oil additives, and as a fixative in daily flavor and fragrance industry. In pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields, it serves as solubilizer, emollient and pharmaceutical excipient. Additionally, it is applied as a raw material for organic synthesis and a special solvent for high-grade coatings.
Safety Information
This product is low-toxic fatty acid ester with mild irritation. Direct skin long-term contact may cause slight dryness and degreasing; eye contact may lead to stinging and mild conjunctival irritation. Inhalation of high concentration vapor may cause slight respiratory discomfort. Avoid massive ingestion. During handling, wear ordinary chemical gloves and goggles, keep workplace well ventilated. Store in sealed, dry, cool and ventilated place, away from strong oxidants and high temperature. Waste liquid shall be treated according to industrial hazardous waste regulations, do not discharge casually to avoid water pollution.
