2-Mercaptobenzimidazole is a classic sulfur-containing benzimidazole heterocyclic compound, widely applied as rubber antioxidant, metal corrosion inhibitor, pharmaceutical intermediate and organic synthetic raw material. It has excellent anti-aging performance for rubber and latex products, effectively resisting thermal oxidation and ozone aging and extending service life. It can form stable chelates with various metal ions, used as corrosion inhibitor for copper, iron and alloy materials in circulating water and industrial pipeline systems. Eye contact will produce obvious burning sensation and conjunctival congestion, need immediate flushing with plenty of clean water. Accidental ingestion may cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea and abdominal distension.
