Applications
This trifluoromethyl substituted aminopyridine is a critical fluorine-containing heterocyclic intermediate in pharmaceutical and agrochemical industry. With active amino and trifluoromethyl groups on pyridine ring, it can participate in coupling, amidation, cyclization and nucleophilic substitution reactions to build various fluorinated nitrogen heterocyclic skeletons. It is widely used as key building block for synthesizing anti-tumor, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and central nervous system drug intermediates. It is also applied in the development of high-efficiency pesticide fungicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators, and commonly used in custom fine chemical synthesis and organic synthetic methodology research.
Safety Information
This fluoropyridine compound features low acute toxicity and mild irritation to human skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Inhalation of fine crystalline dust may cause throat discomfort, dry cough and slight respiratory irritation. Skin contact may lead to local redness, itching and mild allergic symptoms; long-term repeated contact may damage skin barrier. Eye contact will cause obvious burning sensation and conjunctival congestion, requiring continuous flushing with plenty of clean water in time. Accidental ingestion may trigger mild gastrointestinal discomfort including nausea and abdominal distension. All handling should be performed in a well-ventilated fume hood with chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles and dust mask. Keep container tightly sealed, store in dry cool and dark place, separate from strong oxidants and strong alkalis. Waste residues and contaminated packaging shall be disposed of strictly following hazardous waste rules to avoid water and soil pollution and hidden health risks.
