Applications
This chloropyrimidine carboxylate is a high-activity nitrogen heterocyclic fine chemical intermediate. The reactive chlorine atom, methyl and ester groups on the pyrimidine ring can undergo nucleophilic substitution, ester hydrolysis, amidation and cyclization reactions to construct various functional pyrimidine derivatives. It is widely used as a core building block for synthetic pharmaceutical intermediates, antiviral drugs, antibacterial agents and cardiovascular raw materials. It also serves as an important key intermediate for high-efficiency pesticides, fungicides and veterinary drugs, and is commonly applied in custom fine chemical synthesis, asymmetric synthesis and pharmaceutical process route optimization.
Safety Information
This pyrimidine derivative has low acute toxicity and mild irritant effect on human skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Inhalation of fine crystalline dust may cause sore throat, dry cough and slight respiratory discomfort. Skin contact may lead to local redness, itching and mild inflammatory reaction; long-term repeated contact may cause skin dryness and allergic symptoms in sensitive crowds. Eye contact will produce obvious burning pain and conjunctival congestion, which needs immediate continuous rinsing with plenty of clean water for more than 15 minutes. Accidental ingestion may induce mild gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea and abdominal distension. All operations should be carried out in a well-ventilated fume hood with chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles and dust mask. Keep the container tightly sealed, store in dry, cool and dark environment, and isolate from strong oxidants and strong alkalis. Waste residues and contaminated packaging must be disposed of in accordance with local hazardous waste regulations to avoid water, soil pollution and potential health risks.
