Applications
Lithium bisulfate is an important inorganic lithium salt widely applied in lithium battery raw material preparation, organic catalytic synthesis and chemical reagent industry. Its inherent strong acidic property makes it a solid acid catalyst replacing liquid sulfuric acid in esterification, dehydration and rearrangement reactions of fine chemicals, effectively reducing waste acid discharge and equipment corrosion. In new energy field, it acts as intermediate raw material for producing lithium sulfate and lithium-based cathode precursors for lithium-ion power batteries, regulating lithium source proportion during precursor sintering. As analytical pure reagent grade product, it is used for standard acid calibration and lithium content testing in chemical labs. Electroplating industry adds trace lithium bisulfate into acidic plating bath to optimize plating layer uniformity and surface gloss of metal coating. It also serves as raw material for manufacturing other lithium salts such as lithium carbonate and lithium fluoride via neutralization reaction with corresponding alkalis. Standard bulk package:25kg PE-lined woven bag; lab reagent packed in 1kg/5kg sealed plastic bottle for export trade.
Safety Information
GHS:H314,H319,H335;Signal Word:Danger, Corrosive Solid
Strong hygroscopic acidic solid, dust irritates and corrodes skin, mucous membrane and eyes severely. Direct skin contact leads to erythema, burning pain and chemical erosion; immediately strip contaminated clothes and flush affected skin with large volume of running cold water over 15 minutes. Solid dust splashing into eyes causes corneal injury, continuous eye rinsing with pure water for minimum 15min and seek instant medical treatment. Inhalation of fine dust irritates respiratory tract, inducing cough and throat ache; all feeding and crushing operations must be finished inside ventilated fume hood with acid-proof gloves, splash goggles and dust respirator. Store separately from alkaline substances, metal powder and food additives in dry ventilated storage room. Waste residue and waste aqueous solution belong to acidic hazardous waste, must be collected by certified professional hazardous waste disposal enterprise in accordance with local environmental rules, forbidden direct discharge into sewer or natural soil.
