BIS-ETHYLHEXYLOXYPHENOL METHOXYPHENYL TRIAZINE (CAS: 187393-00-6), commonly known as Bemotrizinol, is a high-performance oil-soluble broad-spectrum ultraviolet (UV) filter belonging to the triazine derivative family. It appears as a light yellow to yellow crystalline powder, odorless, with excellent photostability and compatibility. It can effectively absorb both UVA and UVB radiation, and is widely used in cosmetics, personal care products, and related industrial fields as a key sunscreen ingredient.
Uses
Cosmetics & Personal Care: As a core UV absorber, it is widely added to sunscreens, day creams, lotions, and other skin care products, providing high SPF and effective UVA protection. It can also stabilize other less photostable UV filters (such as avobenzone) when used in combination, enhancing the overall sun protection effect.
Industrial & Other Fields: Used as a UV stabilizer in plastic products, coatings, and textiles to prevent material aging and degradation caused by UV radiation. It is also used as an analytical reference standard in chemical analysis and quality control processes for sunscreen products.
