Appearance
White needle-like crystals or crystalline powder, odorless, with uniform particle size and no visible impurities. The pure product is white needle-like crystals, and the industrial product may appear white to orange. It has good fluidity in dry state, is not easy to agglomerate, and the color remains stable under dark storage conditions; it dissolves quickly when added to water, forming a colorless transparent solution.
Physical Properties
Melting point: 80-87°C (lit.), the pure product has a melting point of 86-87°C, and it is stable when stored below the melting point without decomposition. Boiling point: Roughly estimated at 185.54°C, there is no obvious boiling phenomenon under normal pressure, and it volatilizes slightly when heated. Density: 1.2992 g/cm3 (25°C, rough estimate), stable in solid state under normal temperature and pressure, and the density does not change significantly with environmental factors.
Solubility: Highly soluble in water, the solubility is 65100 mg/L (20°C) and 85 g/L (25°C); easily soluble in methanol, acetone, tetrahydrofuran, chloroform and other organic solvents; the solubility in organic solvents is stable, and there is no obvious change with temperature. Vapor pressure: 0.13-0.182 Pa (25°C), low volatility under normal temperature and pressure, no obvious volatilization phenomenon.
Other properties: It is light sensitive, and long-term exposure to strong light may cause slight discoloration; it has no corrosiveness, and is stable in dry air, not easy to volatilize or decompose; the refractive index is roughly estimated at 1.4170.
Chemical Properties
1. Acidity: It is a weak organic acid, with a pKa value of 5.91, and its aqueous solution is weakly acidic; it can react with strong bases to form corresponding salts, and the reaction is mild without obvious exothermic phenomenon.
2. Stability: Stable under normal temperature and dry conditions; stable to acids and alkalis, not easy to decompose under general acid-base conditions; unstable when exposed to strong light for a long time, and may undergo slight decomposition. It is not easy to be oxidized by common oxidants, and has good chemical stability.
3. Reactivity: It can undergo cyclization, substitution and other reactions, and is an important intermediate in organic synthesis; it does not react with common organic solvents and inorganic salts, and has good compatibility.
4. Incompatibility: Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents; avoid mixed storage to prevent chemical reactions; it is stable when mixed with common pesticides and chemical reagents.
Usage
1. Agricultural field: It is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide and soil disinfectant, with low toxicity and environmental friendliness. It is mainly used to control soil-borne diseases caused by Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia and other pathogenic fungi, such as rice seedling blight, beet root rot, tomato stem rot, etc. It also has the function of plant growth regulation, which can promote plant growth and improve crop yield and quality.
2. Pharmaceutical field: Used as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceutical compounds, and also used in the research and development of antibacterial and antiviral drugs; it can be used as an auxiliary reagent in pharmaceutical analysis and detection.
3. Industrial field: Used as an intermediate in the synthesis of organic compounds, and also used in the production of fine chemicals, dyes and other products; it can be used as a solvent auxiliary in industrial production due to its good solubility.

Storage
Store in a sealed container, keep away from light, heat and moisture; store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, the recommended storage temperature is 2-8°C, and refrigerated storage is preferred to maintain stability. It should be stored separately from oxidants and other incompatible substances, and should not be mixed for storage; avoid long-term exposure to strong light to prevent discoloration and decomposition. The storage period can reach 2 years under proper storage conditions.

Safety Precautions
