Currently, over 90% of our products are exported to developed markets, including North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East.
Basic Properties
Appearance: White to pale yellowish-brown solid powder, uniform texture, no visible impurities. It is slightly unstable and decomposes rapidly and inactivates under sunlight, so light-shielding storage is required. The color may slightly darken after long-term storage, but it does not affect its efficacy and quality.
Solubility: Very slightly soluble in water, with extremely low water solubility; easily soluble in methanol and other organic solvents, and can be dissolved and diluted with appropriate organic solvents when in use to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
Other properties: It is a macrolide antibiotic, which is a derivative of Ivermectin. Its C25 position is substituted by cyclohexyl, and there is a double bond between C22 and C23, which is different from Ivermectin in structure. It has good bioavailability, high blood drug concentration in the body, slow elimination, and long duration of efficacy. The half-life is 5.7 days, which is longer than that of Ivermectin (4.2 days).
Chemical Properties
1. Stability: Slightly unstable, decomposes rapidly under sunlight and loses activity; relatively stable under dark and low-temperature conditions. It is stable in neutral and weakly acidic environments, and should avoid contact with strong oxidants and strong alkaline substances to prevent decomposition and failure.
2. Reactivity: As a macrolide compound, it contains active groups such as hydroxyl and double bonds, which can undergo oxidation, addition and other reactions. Its mechanism of action is to increase the release of the inhibitory neurotransmitter γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the worm body, block the transmission of nerve signals, make the muscle cells lose the ability to contract, and cause the worm body to die.
3. Incompatibility: Incompatible with strong oxidants (such as hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate) and strong alkaline substances (such as sodium hydroxide); mixing may cause decomposition and reduce efficacy. Its residual drugs are toxic to fish and aquatic organisms, so it is necessary to avoid contact with water sources during use and disposal.
Pharmacological Effects & Usage
Doramectin is a new type of broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug, which is obtained by fermentation of a new genetically recombined strain of Streptomyces avermitilis with cyclohexylaminocarboxylic acid as the precursor. It is one of the most excellent antiparasitic drugs in the avermectin family, and can be used as a good alternative to Ivermectin.
1. Antiparasitic Spectrum: It is highly effective against gastrointestinal nematodes, lung nematodes, eyeworms, lice, ticks, mites and wound maggots in livestock, and has a good killing effect on internal and external parasites, especially some nematodes (roundworms) and arthropods, but has no effect on tapeworms, flukes and protozoa.
2. Application Scope: Mainly used for the treatment of nematodiasis and acariasis in livestock such as cattle and pigs. The United States has approved injections for cattle and pigs and pour-on agents for cattle. It has a significant effect on swine digestive tract nematodes, swine scabies, swine lung nematodes and swine lice.
3. Dosage: Clinically, for mild cases, the recommended dosage is 300μg/kg (300 micrograms per kilogram of body weight); for severe cases, the recommended dosage is 400μg/kg (400 micrograms per kilogram of body weight). For pigs, intramuscular injection at a dosage of 0.3 mg/kg body weight can achieve a 100% deworming effect.
4. Bioactivity: It has an anti-Schistosoma mansoni effect in the NMRI mouse infection model. When the dosage is 10 mg/kg, it can reduce the worm load of Schistosoma mansoni-infected mice by 60.1% in vivo.
Storage
Store in sealed containers in a dry, dark and low-temperature environment, and the recommended storage temperature is below -20°C (or 0-6°C for short-term storage). Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources and moisture. Store separately from strong oxidants and strong bases, and do not mix storage. Keep it out of the reach of children. The shelf life is 2-3 years when unopened; after opening, seal it immediately and use it up as soon as possible to avoid decomposition and failure.
Safety Overview
Hazard Category: Toxic (T), Harmful to the environment (N), Irritant (Xi). Hazard Statements (H): H302 (Harmful if swallowed), H315 (Causes skin irritation), H319 (Causes serious eye irritation), H335 (May cause respiratory irritation), H500/530 (Very toxic to aquatic life, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment). Low acute toxicity, LD50 orally in Rat: >2000 mg/kg. It is not easy to pass through the blood-brain barrier, has little damage to the central nervous system, and is relatively safe for livestock. It is for veterinary use only, not for human use.
Safety Precautions
1. Personal Protection: Wear disposable nitrile gloves, safety goggles and respiratory mask when handling; do not eat or smoke during operation, and wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after operation to avoid contact and inhalation.
2. Emergency Handling: Skin contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of flowing water for 5-10 minutes, remove contaminated clothing, and seek medical advice if irritation persists; Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if present) and continue rinsing, seek medical advice immediately; Inhalation: Move to fresh air immediately, keep the respiratory tract unobstructed, and seek medical advice if discomfort occurs; Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting, drink plenty of water to dilute, and call a poison center or doctor immediately.
3. Special Notes: Its residual drugs are toxic to fish and aquatic organisms, so attention should be paid to water source protection during use and disposal, and it is forbidden to discharge waste liquid into water courses. For pour-on agents, cattle should not be exposed to rain within 6 hours after application. Use with caution in dogs. Observe the withdrawal period: 35 days for cattle and 24 days for pigs.
4. Fire & Spill: Non-flammable; use appropriate fire extinguishing agents according to the surrounding environment in case of fire. If spilled, isolate the contaminated area, collect the spilled solid with clean tools, put it into a sealed container for proper disposal, and avoid entering drains or water courses.
5. Disposal & Transportation: Dispose of waste and packaging in accordance with local environmental regulations; do not discard at will; waste can be properly treated by professional hazardous waste disposal institutions. Transportation: Classified as hazardous goods, transportation number UN 2811 6.1/PG 3, avoid mixing with incompatible substances during transportation, and ensure sealed and light-shielded transportation.
