- Appearance: White crystalline powder, odorless, with strong hygroscopicity, easy to absorb moisture in the air and agglomerate if not sealed properly.
- Melting Point: 127–131℃, stable at room temperature, decomposes when heated above 150℃.
- Boiling Point: 496℃ at 760 mmHg, decomposes before boiling if heated too fast.
- Solubility: Easily soluble in water (≥100g/100mL at 25℃), soluble in ethanol (≥50g/100mL at 25℃), slightly soluble in acetone, insoluble in ether, chloroform and other non-polar solvents.
- Stability: Stable under normal storage conditions, incompatible with strong acids, strong bases and oxidants; avoid light to prevent decomposition.
Uses
Pharmaceutical hemostatic raw material, mainly used for preventing and treating various types of bleeding, including surgical bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding, fundus bleeding, oral bleeding, and gynecological bleeding. It works by enhancing capillary resistance, promoting platelet aggregation, and shortening the clotting time, thereby achieving the hemostatic effect. It is widely used in clinical medicine, veterinary medicine, and related pharmaceutical research fields.
