Uses
Crystal Violet is a cationic basic dye with strong staining and antibacterial properties, widely used as a biological stain, pH indicator and industrial dye. In microbiology, it is a key reagent for Gram staining, used to distinguish Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria; in histology, it stains cell nuclei, chromosomes and fungal structures. As a pH indicator, it changes color from green (pH 0.5) to blue (pH 2.0). It also serves as a non-aqueous titration indicator, for photometric determination of metals (As, Au, B, Ir, Si, Ta, Tc, Sb, Tl), and in textile, paper and ink dyeing, as well as for antifungal and antibacterial treatment in veterinary medicine and agriculture.
Packaging & Storage
Packaging: According to customer needs and industry standards, specifications include 1kg/5kg small packages (aluminum foil vacuum bags, light-proof and moisture-proof), 25kg large packages (cardboard drums lined with double-layer food-grade plastic bags, inner aluminum foil lining for enhanced protection). All packages are clearly labeled with product name, CAS number, purity, molecular formula, net weight, production date, shelf life and storage requirements. Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse at 15–25℃, away from light, moisture, high temperature and open flames. Keep tightly sealed to prevent light exposure, moisture absorption and air contact which cause discoloration or decomposition. Avoid storing with strong oxidants. Shelf life is 24 months under proper storage; do not use beyond expiration.
