Uses
Sodium p-toluenesulfonate is a versatile organic sulfonate with wide applications in chemical, pharmaceutical, electroplating, and daily chemical fields. As a key organic intermediate, it is widely used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, dyes, pigments, and other organic chemicals. In the chemical industry, it serves as a surfactant, emulsifier, and catalyst auxiliary in polymerization, esterification, and etherification reactions, improving reaction efficiency and product quality. In electroplating, it acts as a stabilizer and brightener in electroplating solutions, enhancing the uniformity and gloss of the plating layer. Additionally, it is used as a cleaning agent in industrial detergents, a phase-transfer catalyst in organic synthesis, a raw material for ion-exchange resins, and a laboratory reagent for organic synthesis and analysis.
Packaging & Storage
Packaging: Available in 1kg/5kg plastic bottles (moisture-proof, sealed) for laboratory use, and 25kg woven bags lined with double-layer food-grade plastic bags (moisture-proof, anti-caking) for industrial bulk orders. All packages are clearly labeled with product name, CAS number, purity, molecular formula, net weight, production date, shelf life, and storage requirements. Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse at room temperature (15–25℃), away from moisture, strong acids, strong oxidants, and incompatible substances (such as reducing agents). Keep tightly sealed to prevent air exposure, moisture absorption, and caking. Shelf life is 24 months under proper storage; do not use beyond expiration. Avoid violent collision during transportation to prevent package damage and moisture ingress; keep away from rain and direct sunlight.
