Physical & Chemical Properties
- Appearance: Colorless to pale yellow transparent viscous liquid, no visible impurities; specific grade (such as TDE-85) is pale yellow transparent viscous liquid, E-51 (618) grade is colorless transparent liquid.
- Melting Point: No obvious melting point (thermosetting resin, softens gradually above 60℃ and cures at high temperature; does not melt after curing).
- Boiling Point: 447.4℃ at 760 mmHg (atmospheric pressure); decomposes at high temperature above 300℃ without obvious boiling phenomenon before decomposition.
- Solubility: Soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, epoxy diluents and most aromatic/hydrocarbon solvents; slightly soluble in water; insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons with more than 6 carbon atoms; miscible with curing agents (amine, acid anhydride, imidazole types) in any proportion.

Uses
Epoxy resin (CAS: 38891-59-7) is a high-performance thermosetting resin with excellent adhesion, mechanical properties, electrical insulation and corrosion resistance, widely used in coatings, composites, adhesives, electronic and electrical, construction and other fields. As a two-component adhesive, it is specially designed for large-size wood table casting, lamp potting and mold filling, with good fluidity, low viscosity, little heat release, natural defoaming, anti-yellowing and high transparency characteristics. In the composite material field, its carbon fiber and glass fiber composites are used to make high-performance aircraft structural parts and components with special mechanical properties. In the coating industry, it is used to prepare anti-corrosion coatings, industrial primers and decorative coatings, which are applied to metal, wood, concrete and other substrates. In the electronic and electrical industry, it is used for electronic packaging, printed circuit board (PCB) impregnation and potting, with excellent electrical insulation and moisture resistance. In the construction field, it is used as a bonding agent and anti-corrosion composite material, and in the woodworking, fiber and garment, packaging industries as an adhesive. Additionally, it is used in the production of high-performance composites, tooling molds and other products, and meets ROHS, REACH, PAHS, ASTM, EN-71 and other certification standards.
Packaging & Storage
Packaging: Laboratory grade: 1kg/5kg opaque plastic bottles (sealed with plastic gaskets); Industrial grade: 20kg/200kg corrosion-resistant HDPE plastic drums or IBC containers, labeled with product name, CAS number, grade, mixing ratio (for two-component type), storage conditions and safety instructions; two-component products are packed separately (component A: epoxy resin, component B: curing agent). Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse at 15–25℃; keep tightly sealed, protected from moisture, light and high temperature; avoid contact with strong oxidants and strong acids; do not mix component A and component B during storage; shelf life is 6–12 months under specified storage conditions (6 months for two-component casting resin). Keep away from fire and heat sources; avoid direct sunlight during storage and transportation. Wear chemical-resistant gloves and goggles during operation; avoid skin and eye contact; if it comes into contact with the skin, wipe it with a clean cloth first, then rinse with plenty of water; if accidentally splashed into eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention; avoid inhalation of resin vapor.
