Uses
Methyl 3-methoxypropionate (CAS: 3852-09-3), also known as MMP, is an environment-friendly ester solvent with excellent comprehensive performance, widely used in coatings, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and organic synthesis fields. In the coating industry, it is widely used in automotive coatings (original paint, refinish paint), plastic paint, household appliance paint, marine coil paint and other baking paints, as well as screen printing ink and high-grade graphic printing ink, which can improve the leveling, gloss and transparency of the paint film, prevent silver powder from coarsening and blackening, and has the function of defoaming and anti-settling for aluminum silver paste. In the electronic field, it is used as a photoresist thinner and electronic cleaning agent, with high resistivity and excellent solvent release performance, which is suitable for LED optoelectronic industry. In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used as an intermediate and solvent, replacing diethylene glycol dimethyl ether and other solvents, and can also be used as an acylation reagent in lipase-catalyzed N-acylation reactions. Additionally, it is used in the synthesis of polymer resists and serves as a key solvent in various industrial production and laboratory research, with good compatibility and environmental friendliness.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse at room temperature (15–25°C); keep tightly sealed, protected from moisture, air and direct sunlight; avoid contact with strong oxidants and strong bases; shelf life is 24 months under storage conditions below 40°C. Keep away from fire, heat sources and open flames during storage and transportation; no special low-temperature transportation is required, but avoid exposure to high temperature. Wear chemical-resistant gloves, goggles and face shields during operation; use in a fume hood to avoid inhalation of vapor and contact with skin and eyes; its vapor is irritating to eyes and respiratory tract, and inhalation is harmful; do not inhale vapor/mist; wash skin thoroughly after handling; if it comes into contact with the skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; if accidentally ingested, rinse mouth and do not induce vomiting; if splashed into eyes, rinse carefully with water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily removable) and continue rinsing, then seek medical attention immediately; properly dispose of residual contents and containers as industrial waste.
