Phenoxazine is a pale yellow to greenish-gray needle-like crystalline powder, odorless, with a conjugated aromatic structure formed by two benzene rings linked via one nitrogen and one oxygen atom. It is almost insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, methanol, DMF and other polar organic solvents, and soluble in mineral acids (forming yellow to red solutions). It has good chemical stability at room temperature, is sensitive to air and light, and may oxidize and darken when exposed to air for a long time.

Storage Method

Store in a cool, dry, dark and well-ventilated warehouse at a temperature of 2-8°C (refrigerated storage recommended). Keep containers tightly sealed under inert gas protection (nitrogen filling recommended) to prevent moisture absorption, oxidation and light-induced decomposition. Avoid contact with air, strong oxidants, strong acids and strong bases; keep away from fire, heat sources and direct sunlight.
