1,12-Benzoperylene is a yellow-green fluorescent needle-like or flaky crystalline powder, odorless, with a highly conjugated planar aromatic structure composed of 6 fused benzene rings. It is insoluble in water, soluble in benzene, dichloromethane, acetone, toluene and other organic solvents. It has excellent thermal stability and chemical inertness at room temperature, with strong fluorescence properties (obvious fluorescence under UV light).
