Main Uses

UV Curing Field: As a highly efficient Type I photoinitiator, it absorbs UV and near-visible light to generate free radicals that initiate polymerization, with excellent through-cure ability and low yellowing property. It is widely used in UV-curable coatings (wood coatings, furniture coatings, electronic component protective coatings), printing inks, and adhesives, especially suitable for white pigmented systems and thicker clear coatings.
3D Printing & Biomedical Fields: Used in resin-based 3D printing processes to produce detailed and durable objects, and in the photo-crosslinking of PMMA composites for organic thin film transistor (OTFT) gate insulators. It is also applied in dental composites and adhesives that require quick setting times and strong adhesion.
Other Fields: As an organic intermediate, it is used in the photoinduced synthesis of organophosphine compounds, which can serve as ligands for metal catalysts and reagents. It is also used as a processing aid, light-transmissive fiber coating additive, and in the research and development of new photoinitiator formulations and material modification technologies.
