Main Uses

• UV Blocking & Material Field: As a high-efficiency UV absorber, it combines photoreactive benzophenone group and polymerizable acrylate moiety, widely used in the fabrication of UV-blocking contact lenses; can be integrated into polymer matrix to enhance UV resistance of materials, making them more durable and long-lasting.
• Polymer & Coating Field: Serves as a key monomer for photopolymerization and crosslinking reactions, used in the synthesis of fluorine-silicone acrylic resin, coatings, adhesives and dental fillings; its unique structure provides excellent adhesion, optical transparency and chemical resistance, suitable for advanced optical composites and photoresists.
• Biomedical & Research Field: Used as a photochemical reagent in biomedical engineering, facilitating photo-crosslinking and surface immobilization; applied in the development of functionalized biomaterials and microstructured materials due to its rapid radical polymerization under UV light.
• Other Fields: Used as an organic intermediate in fine chemical synthesis; can be copolymerized with diverse vinyl monomers to form high-performance polymers; has potential application prospects in sunscreen formulations (as a novel UV filter) and related personal care products.
