Main Uses

• Fragrance & Cosmetics Field: As a synthetic fragrance with sweet honey and rose aroma, it is widely used in daily chemical essences such as tobacco, soap and cosmetics; it is added in small amounts to white rose, sandalwood rose, lily of the valley, sweet bean flower, orange blossom and other fragrance types, and is especially suitable for Havana-type tobacco essence; also used as a perfuming component in cosmetics and cleaning products to enhance the fragrance level
• Food Additive Field: Approved as a temporarily allowed food additive (flavoring agent) according to GB 2760-96, mainly used to prepare honey, peach, apricot, cherry, cream and other food essences; it is commonly used in baked food, candy, pudding and other products, with a small amount of addition to avoid covering other flavor components
• Pharmaceutical & Chemical Field: Used as a pharmaceutical raw material for the production of barbiturate hypnotic drug Luminal (Phenobarbital); serves as an organic intermediate in organic synthesis, and can be prepared by esterification of phenylacetic acid and ethanol with a yield of up to 90%; also used as a solvent in chemical reactions and analytical experiments
• Other Fields: Used as an analytical standard for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to determine analytes in soy sauce; applied in pesticide synthesis as an intermediate; used in the preparation of various aromatic compounds and fine chemicals, and has broad application prospects in the field of organic synthesis
