Chemical Properties
- Molecular structure: Diester formed by adipic acid and methyl alcohol, two ester functional groups on both ends of straight alkane chain
- Hydrolysis reaction: Under acid or alkaline heating conditions, hydrolyze to adipic acid and methanol
- Transesterification: React with other alcohols to generate mixed adipate esters
- Polycondensation: Copolymerize with diols to produce polyester resin, biodegradable polymer materials
- Thermal stability: Stable below 200 ℃; high temperature above 250 ℃ cracking occurs
- Oxidation resistance: Saturated alkane skeleton, not easy to oxidize and deteriorate
