- Polycondensation: Copolymerizes with hexamethylenediamine to form nylon 66; polycondenses with diols to make polyester resins
- Neutralization: Reacts with alkalis to generate adipate salts
- Thermal stability: Stable below 140 ℃; high temperature heating undergoes dehydration cyclization to form cyclopentanone
- Compatibility: Compatible with alcohols, esters, neutral polymers; incompatible with strong oxidants, strong alkali at high temperature
