Chemical Properties
- Molecular structure: EDTA hexadentate ligand chelated with ferric ion, sodium as counterion, stable water-soluble iron complex
- Chelation performance: Firmly binds Fe3+ ion, prevents iron ion precipitation and oxidation in aqueous system
- Anti-oxidation feature: Chelated ferric ion is not easy to be oxidized or reduced, avoids catalytic discoloration caused by free iron
- Thermal stability: Stable below 100 ℃; high temperature over 180 ℃ decomposes to release EDTA and iron oxide
- Photostability: Moderate light resistance, long-term strong light will slightly fade yellow color
- Compatibility: Compatible with most food additives, pesticide liquid fertilizers, water treatment reagents; incompatible with concentrated strong acid, high-concentration sulfide
